Collins National Behavioral Health, Inc. aims to develop culturally competent programs that are geared toward maintaining a set of attitudes, perspectives, behaviors, and policies to serve both individual and organizational levels. Our mission is to promote positive and effective interactions with diverse cultures by practicing with focal cultural competence that will honor diversity.

Our practiced policies are designed to understand and integrate the core needs of our target audience and develop services and materials to meet those needs strategically. It is of high importance to us to regularly and honestly evaluate our organizational and operational practices to ensure all voices in the communities we serve be heard and reflected.

For us to maintain a culturally competent program of services, our policies utilize the following fundamental considerations:

  • Contract with culturally adverse professionals and counselors based on our needs and capacity assessment to identify cultural differences on our clients, and to design a sustainable program of services to address them.
  • Recognize cultural and linguistic differences as we set up group and family counseling programs; identify the diverse needs of the community we serve; utilize those needs to plan the services for our organization that encourages cross-cultural dialogues.
  • Facilitate and foster formal and informal opportunities for cross-cultural interactions for the among both our program recipients, our staff, and our direct providers.
